As one of the local activities surrounding DrupalCon 2015 Barcelona, Drupal.cat, the local Drupal Association in Catalonia, is offering a free two-day Drupal training session for beginners in September. The goal is to promote Drupal in Spain and make more people aware of it as a viable content management tool. The event is geared to the local community interested in creating their own web site or in gaining new skills in the IT field.
The training sessions will be held this weekend on September 18 and 19. Friday's session will feature an introduction to Drupal. Saturday's session will feature 2 tracks:
- Beginners track: For people who have never worked with Drupal. Basic modules, themes, views and multilingual sites.
- Experienced tech track: For people who have had experience with Drupal and are more technical. Best practices, creating modules and layouts.
On Saturday there will also be an Install Party for those who want to install and configure Drupal on their own laptop.
Attendees will also receive a free .CAT domain con 6-months free hosting at CDmon, a pack of 6 ebooks Experto en Drupal 7 from Forcontu Drupal Training & Consulting, and a 60% discount on the online course Experto en Drupal 7 from Forcontu.
Third & Grove summer intern Claudia Zavala created the website for the event.
