Catalog & Data Audit
Catalog & Data Audit
Assess your product catalog for metadata completeness, taxonomy integrity, schema quality, and variant consistency.
We help Shopify merchants build the catalog structure, content strategy, and backend logic that AI agents need to confidently discover and transact on your store, before the window to get ahead closes.

Universal Commerce Protocol enables AI agents like ChatGPT or Gemini to guide shoppers from discovery through checkout across any platform. Shopify merchants are automatically opted in. That's not a burden. It's a head start.
TAG has been preparing to help brands move now, while most of the market is still watching. These merchants will have a meaningful advantage in catalog structure, agent discoverability, and attribution clarity before agent-driven volume becomes significant.
How TAG gets you there
We've mapped the work. We know where to start.
Assess your product catalog for metadata completeness, taxonomy integrity, schema quality, and variant consistency.
Evaluate how your brand currently shows up in AI search. Where are you appearing? Where aren't you?
Audit your return policies, shipping terms, and warranty language for agent-readability.
Assess your discount stacking rules, pricing logic, & checkout extensibility setup for agent friction points.
Configure GA4 channel groupings to isolate agent-driven orders and establish baseline KPIs.
As UCP protocol evolves and Shopify's native tools mature, we keep your store ahead of the changes.
We start with a checklist
Complete metadata, logical taxonomies, rich schema, and clean variant structure. If the LLM can't read and understand your product, it won't surface it. This is the most time-consuming pillar, and the most important.
Checkout extensibility, discount logic, and pricing rules need to be explicit and machine-readable. Agents can't operate on "magic" behavior or workarounds buried in custom code.
Discount stacking, loyalty logic, market-specific pricing, all of it has to be clearly defined. Ambiguous promo rules are invisible rules to an agent.
Accelerated checkout, fraud rules, and payment fallbacks all need to support agent-driven flows. Frictions that a human would click through will stop an agent cold.
Real-time inventory accuracy isn't a nice-to-have anymore. If an agent can't verify availability instantly, it moves on. Updates every 15–30 minutes aren't fast enough.
Region-specific currency, tax, and fulfillment logic need to be intentionally configured, not left to default. Agents operating across markets will expose every gap.
