Neon Rated is the film studio behind Parasite and Spencer. The company needed a true Video-On-Demand (VOD) experience mixed with traditional ecommerce to support the launch of their film Pleasure.

Mandate

NEON Rated came to Third and Grove with a simple ask – design and build a branded TVOD website for an impending launch of their film Pleasure in 4 months.

Approach

To build this true VOD experience mixed with traditional ecommerce, Third and Grove utilized a Shopify headless solution for the primary platform, then partnered with CineSend to power the movie rentals and playback.

A cinematic experience

The design system acts as a modern framework that helps evoke the nostalgia of the movie-theater feel, immediately captivating visitors. The site enables users to rent and watch the movies directly on the site while offering to purchase corresponding movie merchandise all in one place.
